David started his insurance career in 1981 at the Lawrence Insurance Agency in Walnut Ridge. He later purchased several insurance agencies including the Jim Watson Insurance Agency, Baker Insurance, David-Jones Insurance, Singley Insurance and Pocahontas Insurance. He later purchased the Lawrence Insurance Agency in Walnut Ridge from his father, Ted Coker.
David believes in strong community and industry service. He is past President of the Walnut Ridge Area Chamber of Commerce, Professional Insurance Agents Association of Arkansas, Farmers Union Mutual Insurance Company, Town and Country Mutual Insurance Company and Eagle Management. He has served on the board of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents Association, Ozark Gateway Tourism Council, Lawrence County Quorum Court and the Walnut Ridge Little League. He continues to serve his community as President of Arkansas Farmers Union, director for the National Farmers Union, Chairman of the Walnut Ridge Planning Commission, Trustee at Black River Technical College, board member of the Northeast Arkansas Intermodal Authority and the Arkansas Earthquake Authority. He is also active in church, serving as a deacon and media coordinator.
David and his wife Cathy have two sons, Andrew (22) and Will (19). Andrew and Will are both insurance producers for Coker Insurance. He enjoys traveling with his family, sports events, building and repairing things and his hanging out with his church family.
A graduate of Brookland High School. I was licensed in Phlebotomy in 2002 at Arkansas State University, but went on to work in retail and retail management for many years before entering in to the insurance business. First with Insurance Solutions in 2012, then Allstate in 2014, before joining Coker Insurance in 2016.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, as well as watching my niece play softball. I also enjoy traveling to new places, weekend road trips, taking cruises, and going to concerts.
Andrew began in the insurance industry in 2018. After staring in February, he attained his insurance license in August. Andrew graduated from Walnut Ridge High School in 2018. He would go on to Arkansas State University, where he would graduate in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in accounting. Since being licensed, Andrew has been a versatile addition to the team, working in all three offices when needed.
Outside the office, Andrew enjoys hobbies such as playing basketball, watching TV, and spending time with friends and family. Andrew is an active member in his community and his church. He often goes on outreach missions, such as service trips made to a New Mexico Children's Home every year.
